V.K. Singh is a retired four-star general from the Indian Army and a politician.
He served as the 24th Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army from 2010 to 2012.
V.K. Singh was the first commando to achieve the position of Chief of Army Staff.
During his military career, he commanded the Victor Force and was a part of the "Rashtriya Rifles."
He also commanded the II Cops based in Ambala and served as the Colonel General Staff of the 12 Infantry Division.
