Suhasini Haidar is an accomplished Indian journalist who currently serves as the Diplomatic Editor of The Hindu.
She started her journalism journey in 1994 as an intern at CNN's United Nations bureau in New York.
In April 1995, she became a producer at CNN New Delhi bureau, where she worked for a decade, reporting from countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
While reporting in Kashmir in 2000, she sustained injuries in a bomb blast.
In 2001, she contributed to CNN.com's coverage of the 9/11 attacks during a month-long stint in New York.
Her reporting significantly contributed to CNN's receipt of the Columbia-Dupont Broadcast Journalism Award in 2005 for coverage of the 2004 Indian tsunami.
Suhasini Haidar later became a correspondent for CNN International in New Delhi.
Between 2005 and 2014, she held the roles of Foreign Affairs editor and prime-time anchor at CNN-IBN.
