Saeed Ajmal, a former cricketer from Pakistan, was known for his doosra ball delivery technique.
He began his career playing for the Faisalabad cricket team in 1995 at the age of 18.
Ajmal contributed to Faisalabad's victories in the 2005 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup and the 2006 ABN-AMRO Patron’s Cup.
Recognized as the best bowler in the 2006 ABN-AMRO Patron’s Cup, Ajmal received a prize of Rs. 25,000.
He also played for Khan Research Laboratories and Islamabad in domestic cricket.
Ajmal impressively surpassed 250 first-class wickets during the 2008/09 Quaid-i-Azam Trophy final.
Selected for the Asia Cup squad in 2008, Ajmal played alongside Shahid Afridi in the Pakistani team.
His debut One Day International match was against India in July 2008, where he took a wicket and conceded 47 runs.
During the 2009 ICC World Twenty20, Ajmal played a crucial role in Pakistan's championship victory.
In 2014, Ajmal faced a ban by the ICC due to an illegal bowling action and withdrew from the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup squad.
Ajmal opened the Saeed Ajmal Store post-retirement and established the Saeed Ajmal Foundation to support the disabled and underprivileged.
