Some Lesser Known Facts

Ramalinga Reddy has been the president of the Karnataka Indian National Congress since February 2001.
He initiated his political journey in 1973 by serving as the secretary of the students union at Government Science College and later as a member of the student council at Bangalore University.
With a strong inclination towards organizational activities, he joined NSUI in 1973 and attended the NSUI National Convention in Trivandrum the same year.
By 1977, he had assumed the role of the student union president at Bangalore University.
In 1980, he was appointed as a member of the Senate and finance committee at Bangalore University.
Between 1983 and 1988, he served as a corporator of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.
Starting from 1990, he worked with the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee until 2018.
