Rajiv Luthra co-founded the Delhi-based law firm Luthra and Luthra - Law Offices India in 1989.
He completed his schooling in various parts of India due to his military background.
Rajiv became a Chartered Accountant (CA) after passing the exam on his first attempt.
After finishing his CA studies, he managed his father's firm's finances for over seven years.
He then pursued law studies at Delhi University.
After obtaining his law degree, Rajiv ventured into the tours and travel business by establishing a travel company.
In 1991, he founded Luthra and Luthra - Law Offices India with Mohit Saraf in New Delhi.
The firm gained prominence and began providing legal and financial services to renowned entrepreneurs in Delhi.
It also offered advisory services to a US-based firm operating in China.
Under Rajiv's leadership, the firm oversaw the merger of Coca-Cola and Parle Bisleri in 1993.
He became the director of Petroleum Helicopters India Private Limited in 2000.
Rajiv was instrumental in conceptualizing the Pro Kabaddi League in India and served as the director of Mashal Sports during its inception in 2014.
In 2015, Luthra and Luthra, led by Rajiv, played a significant role in the $4 billion Sun Pharma and Ranbaxy merger.
