Rahmanullah Gurbaz is an Afghan cricketer who has played in T20 World Cups and various tournaments. He was the first Afghan to score an ODI century on debut and has competed in multiple T20 leagues worldwide.
Gurbaz transitioned from football to cricket after being inspired by visiting cricketers Nawroz Mangal and Noor Ali Zadran. Supported by his friend, Qadir Gurbaz, he began playing cricket in his neighborhood.
His cricket journey started at Mohammad Khan Zadran Club in 2014. Despite family opposition, he worked as a daily laborer to earn money for his cricket kit.
Gurbaz's dedication led him to Mis Ainak Region and national youth teams. He scored his maiden T20I half-century against Zimbabwe in 2019.
He has played in various T20 leagues globally for teams like Paktia, Khulna Tigers, and Islamabad United. Known for his power-hitting, he has impressive performances in leagues and international matches.
