He started his career by assisting filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma in Telugu films after finishing his studies.
In 1989, he made his debut appearance in the song "Botany" from 'Shiva,' starring Nagarjuna.
In 2002, he launched Puneeth Rajkumar in the Kannada film "Appu," leading to the actor's breakthrough.
Jagannadh's notable directorial works include 'Badri' (2000), 'Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi' (2003), 'Pokiri' (2006), 'iSmart Shankar' (2019), among others.
