Priyanca moved to Singapore during her childhood and completed her education there.
While at Victoria University of Wellington, she successfully ran for and won the position of International Students’ Officer at Massey University Student Association.

Priyanca has been actively involved with an NGO that focuses on advocating for the rights of domestic violence survivors and migrants in New Zealand.
