Prithvi began playing cricket at 3 years old.
At 4 years old, his mother passed away, leading him to focus on cricket to cope with the loss.
His father made sacrifices, closing his garment business to support Prithvi's career.
For 3 years, the family relied on his father's savings due to financial hardships.
Prithvi received scholarships and was given a home in Vakola by Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Potnis.
He and his father endured a 70-km daily ride between Virar and Mumbai for practice.
His father bowled to him at the Air India ground in Kalina to help with practice.
In 2011, he was chosen to play for Polly Umrigar XI.
In 2013, Prithvi made headlines for scoring 546 runs in a Haris Shield elite division match at 14 years old.
