Neha Tanwar is a professional Indian woman cricketer.
She grew up participating in various sports activities like Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Shot Put, and Volleyball.
In 2003, Neha unexpectedly switched to cricket and impressed selectors during college trials with her powerful batting.
After starting as a spin bowler, Neha worked on her batting skills and became an opening batswoman.
Her performance in the 2010-11 Challenger Trophy led to her selection in the Indian Women’s cricket team in 2011.
Neha got married in Delhi just a month after her international debut but could only play a few matches for India.
Post her pregnancy in 2014, Neha retired from cricket to focus on her family and gave birth to a son in the same year.
Neha made a determined comeback after her pregnancy by working hard on her fitness and batting skills.
In 2015, she returned to the Ranji trophy but faced challenges, eventually displaying better performances in the next season.
Due to her impressive performances in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season, Neha was selected to play against Bangladesh-A in 2020.
