Naveen-ul-Haq is an Afghanistan cricketer.
He got into a fight with former Indian captain Virat Kohli during an IPL match on 1 May 2023.
He was born in Kabul and later moved to Pakistan due to family conditions.
Naveen studied in Pakistan for five to six years.
During his time in Pakistan, he watched Indian cricket matches on TV, igniting his love for the sport.
Despite his parents not allowing him to play cricket on weekends, Naveen played tape-ball cricket near his home.
In his early cricket days, Naveen would bat and keep wickets but disliked bowling.
He began playing cricket seriously after watching Afghanistan qualify for the first T20 World Cup in 2012.
