MS Bitta is an Indian social activist and former politician who served as a minister in Beant Singh’s cabinet in 1992.
He was born into a non-jat Punjabi Sikh family.
During his childhood, he had street fights with other children and wasn't keen on studies.
At the age of seven, he took an oath in Jallianwala Bagh after learning about the 1919 massacre.
He changed schools frequently due to getting into fights with other children.
He dropped out of Khalsa College, Amritsar after two years of pursuing graduation.
In the 1970s, he started organizing public rallies after joining the Indian Youth Congress.
In 1983, he began organizing pro-nation rallies as the district chief of the Indian Youth Congress amid rising terrorism in Punjab.
