Mrinal Kulkarni is an accomplished Indian theatre artist, TV & film actor, and film director.
She hails from a Hindu family in Maharashtra.
In 1990, Marathi film actor & director Gajanan Jagirdar discovered her talent at an inter-college festival and offered her a role in the Marathi TV series ‘Swami’, which she accepted.
Despite her initial plan to pursue a PhD from SNDT Women’s University, she became busy with acting in TV serials and films after her debut Marathi serial.
Her impressive credits include roles in Marathi TV serials like ‘The Great Maratha,’ ‘Avantika,’ and ‘Raja Shivchatrapati.’
In addition to Marathi serials, she has appeared in Hindi TV serials such as ‘Son Pari,’ ‘Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani,’ ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat,’ and ‘Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha.’
She received Kathak training from Pandit Uma Dogra Ji for the Hindi TV serial ‘Meera’ in 2009.
Beyond TV, she has also showcased her talent in various Hindi and Marathi films like ‘Jai Dakshineshwar Kali Maa’, ‘Veer Savarkar’, ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’, and ‘The Kashmir Files.’
