Mohnish Bahl was raised in Mumbai.
As a child, his dream was to become a pilot.
During his school and college days, he actively participated in sports such as swimming.
The Indian film director Raj Khosla offered Mohnish a role in college, but his mother insisted he first learn Urdu.
Initially, his movies did not perform well, leading him to take a break from acting to pursue an aviation course.
On May 21, 1975, he founded a private firm called Meghdoot Agencies Private Limited, which later closed down.
In 1981, Mohnish and his mother Nutan were cast in the Hindi film ‘Roohi,’ but they eventually opted out.
Mohnish has appeared in various successful Hindi films like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ (1994), ‘Raja Hindustani’ (1996), ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999), and ‘Panipat’ (2019).
He has also hosted Hindi TV shows such as ‘Savdhaan India’ (2012) and ‘Hoshiyar… Sahi Waqt, Sahi Kadam’ (2016).
Mohnish once mentioned his belief in astrology.
