Mohan Joshi is an accomplished Indian actor in film, television, and theatre.
He was born in Bangalore and lived there for 7 years before moving to Pune to pursue college.
After graduation, he initially worked at Kirloskar Group in Pune before starting his own transport company.
Following a significant accident involving one of his company's vehicles, he closed down the transport business.
Throughout his struggles, Mohan Joshi continued acting in theatre plays, gaining prominence with 'Kuryat Sada Tingalam', which he performed over 1000 times.
In 1987, he relocated to Mumbai to focus on his acting career and has since been part of over 8000 stage shows and 30 theatre plays.
His talents were soon recognized in Marathi films, where he has appeared in over 70 films and won a National Award in 1999 for his work in 'Gharabaher'.
In 1993, he entered Bollywood as a villain in 'Bhookamp', marking the beginning of his portrayal of negative characters in the industry.
Additionally, Mohan Joshi served as President of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad at two separate times, 2003-2011 and 2013.
He expanded his acting repertoire by featuring in Bhojpuri and Gujarati films like 'Janam Janam Ke Saath' and 'Tabadala' in 2017.
That year, he was honored with the prestigious 'Vishnudas Bhave Award' for his significant contributions to Indian theatre.
