Before pursuing a career in cricket, Milind was an accomplished Taekwondo athlete and earned a bronze medal for India on the international stage.
He commenced his domestic cricket career in 2010 by participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Delhi.
Milind made his debut in T20 cricket against Assam in 2010 and played his first Ranji Trophy match for Delhi in 2011, scoring a century and earning the Man of the Match title.
He had the opportunity to play under Virat Kohli's captaincy during the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy in 2013.
Over his first-class career, Milind has participated in 46 matches, amassing 2,988 runs with a personal best score of 261 runs.
He has a meditative routine he follows before every match, helping him focus and prepare.
Milind gained attention in 2013 during a practice game against England, scoring an unbeaten 78 runs and contributing significantly to his team's success.
In 2014, he was signed by the Delhi Daredevils for ₹10 Lakh in the IPL.
For the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, he switched to Sikkim and emerged as the leading run-scorer with a total of 1,331 runs.
He was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹20 Lakh for the 12th IPL season, only to be released before the 2020 auction.
After competing in the Ranji Trophy for Sikkim, Milind transitioned to Tripura for the 2019-20 season and concluded his first-class career in 2020.
In 2021, seeking new prospects, Milind relocated to the United States, becoming eligible to represent the national team in 2024.
He was selected by Texas Super Kings in June 2023 for Major League Cricket's inaugural season.
