Mamukkoya, an Indian actor, appeared in over 450 Malayalam films, playing comic and supporting roles.
He was the first actor in Malayalam cinema to win the State Award for Best Comedian.
During his school days, Mamukkoya took part in stage plays and discovered his passion for acting.
He started playing football in school and continued even in later years.
After finishing school, he worked at a timber yard while pursuing acting in his spare time.
Despite financial challenges, Mamukkoya focused on acting and eventually landed roles in Malayalam films.
He featured in many Malayalam and a few Tamil films during his career.
Mamukkoya also starred in Malayalam TV serials and short films.
Known for his use of the Mappila Muslim dialect in films.
Active in social causes, he promoted unity among diverse communities.
He raised questions about certain Islamic concepts like haram and halal.
Mamukkoya suffered a heart attack at a football tournament and later died from a brain haemorrhage.
