Kamini Kaushal is a celebrated Indian actress and film producer.
She rose to fame starring in iconic Hindi films like ‘Neecha Nagar’ (1946) and ‘Biraj Bahu’ (1955).
At the age of 7, she acted in ‘The Tragedy,’ a Hindi film directed by her brother.
By age 9, she was already featuring in the radio play ‘Uma’ in Lahore.
In her youth, she engaged in sports like swimming, cycling, horse riding, and skating.
During her school and college years, she showcased her talent in theater and extracurricular activities.
She also worked in a radio play on Akashwani during her college days.
Kamini Kaushal became the first Indian actress to grace the cover of Filmfare magazine on 7 March 1952.
She is the owner of the film production company Gudia Ghar Productions.
Following her elder sister's passing, she married her sister's widower, Braham S Sood.
Tragic rumors of her alleged affair with Dilip Kumar led to her brother's suicide.
She shared the screen with renowned Indian actor Manoj Kumar in about eight films.
