Kami Rita is a renowned Nepali mountain climber with a record 28 ascents of Mount Everest, the most by any person.
While contemplating becoming a monk at Thame Dechen Chokhorling monastery, Kami Rita later pursued a career in local tourism.
Starting as a porter, he evolved into a skilled climbing guide after transporting supplies up the mountains.
At the age of twelve, Kami Rita transported goods to Everest Base Camp, and in 1992, he assisted a cook at the camp.
He made his first Everest summit on 13 May 1994 and has summited Everest 28 times, setting a remarkable record.
Kami Rita has climbed other peaks like Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, K2, Ama Dablam, and Baruntse, displaying his mountaineering prowess.
After working with Alpine Ascents International, he joined Seven Summit Treks in 2018 and has served as a brand ambassador for various companies.
