Some Lesser Known Facts

Juhi spent her early childhood in Lucknow and graduated from an Arts and Crafts college there.
She harbored a strong passion for art from a young age and aspired to become a painter.
Starting as a freelance illustrator, she began her career with The Times of India in Lucknow.
In 1996, Juhi moved from Lucknow to Delhi where she resided in Lajpat Nagar.
Her shift to Mumbai in 1999 led her to work at Ogilvy, an advertising agency where she transitioned to writing over time.
Post her tenure at Ogilvy, she held positions in various companies like Bates Chi & Partners and Leo Burnett.
Juhi collaborated with director Shoojit Sircar on ad films for brands such as Titan watches and Saffola.
She penned dialogues for Sircar’s movie “Shoebite,” featuring Amitabh Bachchan, which unfortunately got shelved.
In 2013, she joined Leo Burnett Mumbai as the Executive Creative Director.
She drew inspiration from her personal relationship with her father for the main idea behind “Piku.”
Juhi tailored the characters of Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in “Piku” specifically for these actors.
The character of Deepika in “Piku” was inspired by a woman close to Juhi in real life.
