He earned a law degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2000.
Singh practiced law at the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, handling civil and criminal cases.
In 2012, he joined the Haryana Judicial Services and was stationed in Sonepat.
In 2016, Singh made headlines for rescuing four severely injured individuals on his way from Hissar to Panchkula.
That same year, he was appointed as a special judge at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court in Panchkula.
In August 2017, Singh bravely faced a large crowd of Dera followers in Panchkula to preside over the trial of self-proclaimed godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Insan.
At the trial, Singh found Ram Rahim guilty in a 15-year-long rape case involving two Sadhvis.
Following the trial, Singh sentenced Ram Rahim to 20 years in prison (10 years each for two rape cases) and fined him 14 lakh rupees for each victim, before being transferred to Sonaria Jail in Rohtak.
