Jacob was born into a cricketing family, with his grandfather playing first-class cricket for Barbados.
His father Graham also had a cricketing career, captaining a Sheffield team that included Joe Root's father.
At a young age, Jacob was so passionate about cricket that he would wake his mother to practice with him.
