During his childhood, Ibrahim witnessed his uncle, Noor Ali Zadran, score a fifty against India in the 2010 T20 World Cup, sparking his interest in cricket.
He made his List A debut on August 11, 2017, and his T20 debut on September 12, 2017, showcasing his talent early on.
Ibrahim Zadran distinguished himself as the top run-scorer for Afghanistan in the 2018 and 2020 Under-19 World Cups.
In his debut test match, Ibrahim scored his maiden test fifty with 87 runs in the second innings.
He achieved his first ODI century against Zimbabwe in June 2022 and his first ODI fifty against Sri Lanka in June 2023.
