Harsh Mayar is an Indian actor known for portraying Chhotu in the film I Am Kalam, earning the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2010.
He developed an interest in acting as a child and attended a theatre workshop at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra from 2005 to 2008 on his uncle’s encouragement.
Harsh participated in local plays in Delhi from a young age and started as a theatre artist by working backstage and playing roles like a monkey.
Although rejected for the movie Chillar Party, he auditioned for I Am Kalam and began his acting career, eventually being chosen from 3,000 candidates.
Harsh received praise for his role in the theatrical production ‘Paighamber’ alongside actors Tom Alter and Amit Behl.
In ‘I Am Kalam,’ produced by Smile Foundation, he played Chhotu, earning him awards like the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2010.
