Harry grew up in a cricketing family, with his father, uncles, and grandfather all involved in club cricket in England.
He began playing cricket at the tender age of two and made his debut for Burley U9s, the youngest team in the club, at six.
Initially overweight, he worked hard on his fitness, leading to significant improvement under the guidance of his childhood coach.
Received a scholarship to Sedbergh School, renowned for developing professional cricketers and rugby players, at 14.
In his first-class debut for Yorkshire against Pakistan A, he showcased his talent at a young age on 26 June 2016.
In August 2017, he captained the England under-19 team in a youth ODI series against India and led the squad at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018.
Emerging as the highest run scorer for his team in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, he was named the rising star of the squad by the ICC.
