Harbinder Singh, a former Indian field hockey player, was part of the gold medal-winning Indian Hockey team at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Born in Quetta, Pakistan, he moved to India after the partition in 1947.
A sports enthusiast from a young age, he excelled in hockey, athletics, and football, representing Cantonment Board High School, Jalandhar.
In 1959, he competed in the Inter-University Athletics Meet in Kanpur for Panjab University.
Harbinder represented Punjab State in the 4x100M Relay Race at the National Athletics Championships 1959 in Trivandrum.
He played for Punjab state in the Inter-University Hockey Tournament 1961.
In 1961, he participated in the National Hockey Championship in Hyderabad and the following year in Bhopal.
