Some Lesser Known Facts

Dulquer Salmaan was born in Kochi to the famous actor Mammootty and his wife Sulfath Kutty.
At a young age, Dulquer developed a keen interest in film direction and made short films using his father's camera.
After graduation, he worked as a Business Manager in a reputed US firm.
He later moved to Dubai where he engaged in IT-related business activities for a period.
Upon returning to India, he underwent a three-month acting course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.
In 2012, Dulquer began his acting career with the role of Harilal/Lalu in the Malayalam film “Second Show,” earning a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
His appearance in the romantic drama “Bangalore Days” in 2014 proved to be a major success in the Malayalam film industry.
In 2018, he entered Bollywood with the film “Karwan” portraying the character of ‘Avinash.’
Dulquer actively participated in Chennai Gives by contributing 150 items such as clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, and crockery.
Aside from acting, he is known for his singing and has lent his voice to several songs, including "Johnny Mone Johnny" from the film ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi (2013).
