At the age of seventeen, she commenced her formal cricket training under Coach Peter Fernandez at the MAC Spin Foundation.
Initially disapproving, her parents began to support her decision to pursue a professional cricketing career once she made it into the Under-19 Tamil Nadu team in 2011.
She continued to excel, representing the Under-19 South Zone and South Zone teams in 2012 before playing for the Tamil Nadu senior team until the 2019-20 season.
In the following season, she transitioned to playing for Indian Railways and went on to secure three impressive victories in the 2022-23 season.
Among her notable wins were the Senior T20 Trophy with Indian Railways, the Interzonal Trophy for Central Zone, and the Challenger Trophy as part of the India-D team.
She notably participated in 2018 T20 World Cup matches in the West Indies, scoring 21 runs with an average of 4.2 and claiming 5 wickets.
An integral part of the Indian squad, she contributed to the T20 Asia Cup victory in 2022 and competed in the Women’s T20 Challenge tournaments in 2019 and 2020 for the Trailblazers team.
For the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) season, Gujarat Giants enlisted her in the February 2023 auction for a notable sum of Rs 30 lakhs.
