Some Lesser Known Facts

Darshan Thoogudeepa was raised in Kodagu, Karnataka.
During his childhood, he worked in the Kannada film industry as a light boy and projectionist.
He pursued his education in Mysore.
After completing his schooling, he sought admission to Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Polytechnic in Mysore.
Despite his father's objections, Darshan joined Ninasam - Nilakanteshwara Natyaseva Sangha for theater training in Shimoga before his father's passing in 1995.
Following his father's demise, he managed the family's finances by working at their hotel and selling cow milk.
Darshan also had a stint as a model for Jaganmohan Palace in Mysore.
Before venturing into acting, he worked as an assistant cameraman under cinematographer B. C. Gowrishankar.
He made his acting debut in a TV serial directed by S. Narayan and portrayed small roles in other TV serials for Rs 200 per day.
Darshan has appeared in several successful Kannada films like 'Kariya' (2003), 'Saarathi' (2011), 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' (2012), 'Ambareesha' (2014), 'Yajamana' (2019), and 'Kurukshetra' (2019).
