She was born into a prosperous family with both parents working in government.
Her goal was to join the administrative services.
Upon finishing her studies, she started preparing for the civil services and entered the Indian Administrative Service.
She began her career as an Assistant Collector in 2008.
In 2013, she became the first woman Collector of Dindori district, succeeding a streak of short-term officers.
Shortly after her arrival, she gained attention for filing an FIR against a Chief Municipal Officer for attempting to bribe her.
Known for her discipline, she initiated positive changes in education and social development during her tenure in Dindori.
She was later appointed Municipal Commissioner of Bhopal and excelled in implementing the Smart City campaign, leading Bhopal to second place in Swachh Survekshan 2018.
In 2018, she became the first female Collector of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
She gained recognition as a corruption-fighting IAS officer.
Her first book, "Like a Bird on the Wire," touches on the incomplete love stories of IAS officers and the challenges they face.
With the book's launch, she became the first IAS officer to pen a book on the lives of IAS officers.
