Champai Soren is an Indian politician set to become the 7th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in 2024 after the former Chief Minister was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
He grew up working on farms, attended a government school until the 10th grade, and is a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party.
Champai Soren represents the Seraikella Assembly constituency and has been a legislator there since 1991, showing loyalty to JMM leader Shibu Soren.
He played a significant role in shaping the map during the Bihar-Jharkhand partition.
