Some Lesser Known Facts

Hodge preferred being a fast bowler over a batsman as a child, but his short stature hindered his bowling aspirations.
Dean Jones affectionately called him "Glovelick" when he shared a bunk bed with his brother during his debut for Victorian Bushrangers, earning him the nickname "Bunkie."
Despite his stellar batting average of over 55, Hodge was unfortunate to not receive any further chances in Test cricket after playing six matches for Australia during their dominant era.
Hodge joined the IPL in 2008 with the Kolkata Knight Riders, but in 2012, the Rajasthan Royals acquired him for $475,000, surpassing his base price of $200,000. Later, he transitioned to coaching the Gujarat Lions in 2016.
