Balkrishna Doshi is a prominent Indian architect recognized for his impact on Indian architecture.
His fascination with buildings and sculptures began at his grandfather's furniture workshop when he was eight years old.
At the age of 11, he suffered a burn injury while attempting a fire trick.
Rather than conventional classrooms, he preferred studying in open spaces.
In 1956, he established his architectural practice called 'VastuShilpa.'
In 1957, he was honored with the $10,000 Graham Foundation’s International Fellowship.
In 1980, he launched his own design studio named 'Sangath.'
