Aparajita was an IAS officer of the 1994 batch who resigned from the service on 15 September 2018 and joined the BJP.
Dharmendra Pradhan and Amit Shah gave a warm welcome to Aparajita upon her entry into the BJP.
During IAS training at Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, she met her husband for the first time.
Her husband, whom she considers a brilliant officer, has always been a guiding force in her life.
In her college days, she won the Best Dramatist Award for three years in a row and was named the 'Best Speaker' at a national debate competition in New Delhi.
