He is linked by marriage to the illustrious Kannada film actor Late Dr Vishnuvardhana and actress Padma Shri awardee Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan.
Aniruddha actively engages in various social and environmental welfare initiatives and is particularly involved in cleaning efforts for Bangalore city.
He commenced his acting career in theater in Dharwad, later shifting to Bangalore to pursue film and TV, starting from the ground up without familial connections in the industry.
Though his debut film was initially a box-office flop, he achieved success with later films such as Thuntata (2002) and Neenello Nanalle (2006).
He co-starred with his father-in-law for the first time in the film Jyeshta (2003).
