She started her political journey in 1994 at 19 years old with the student wing of the Indian National Congress during her Bachelor's degree studies.
She dedicated over 20 years to the Indian National Congress as a party member during her political career.
In a controversial event, she once inspected a rescue operation from a fire brigade vehicle in Chandni Chowk, facing criticism for causing delays during the operation.
In 2016, she was suspended from her role as a National spokesperson of AAP for making conflicting statements about a party matter involving former Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Roy.
Her NGO, the 'Go India Foundation', organized a large blood donation event with the goal of collecting 63,000 units of blood, supported by celebrities like Salman Khan, Dia Mirza, and Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin.
