Abdullah began playing cricket at the age of three, showcasing his talent early with a plastic bat during shadow practice.
His professional journey in cricket took off when his father enrolled him at Sialkot’s Late Amir Waseem Academy.
Abdullah's cricket interest was ignited by his uncle, who used to take him to practice sessions.
At sixteen, he made a mark by scoring two centuries in his debut season of the under-19 domestic tournament, earning a spot on the Pakistan under-19 team.
Mansoor Rana, a former player, recognized Abdullah’s potential and selected him for the Under 19s.
In the 2018 Pakistan Super League player’s draft, he was bought by Multan Sultans in November 2017.
Abdullah debuted in first-class cricket in December 2019, scoring 133 on his debut match.
While playing for Central Punjab, he marked his T20 debut with a century, remaining unbeaten at 102 runs.
