Gopal Baglay is an Indian diplomat from the 1992 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
He moved from Mathura to Lucknow during his early childhood where he completed his education.
Baglay passed the UPSC civil services exam and joined the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
As Joint Secretary (States), he established a new division in the Ministry of External Affairs to enhance India's international relations.
Baglay managed India's interactions with Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran while at the MEA.
