Falak Naz is an Indian cricketer who was part of the winning ICC Under-19 Indian Women’s team in the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2023.
She was born into a financially struggling family, prompting her brother to leave school and work at a cycle repair shop to support them.
Falak resides with her family in a single-room, tin-roofed house near the Yamuna river in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
As a child, she played cricket for fun with friends but later pursued it as a serious career interest.
At the age of 12, she began playing cricket and switched schools for better coaching opportunities, with her school coach providing free training.
During her rigorous training, she played multiple matches in a day and practiced for 9-10 hours to hone her skills.
Initially aspiring to be a fast bowler, Falak transitioned to aiming to become an all-rounder on her coach's suggestion.
In 2016, she earned a spot in the Uttar Pradesh junior women’s cricket team.
