Chetan Sakariya is an Indian cricketer who plays for Saurashtra in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
He made his first-class cricket debut for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy on 20 November 2018, replacing Jaydev Unadkat due to injury.
Initially wanting to be a batsman, Sakariya later shifted his focus to fast bowling.
Sakariya received no formal coaching until he was 16 and used to practice with tennis ball cricket.
Completing his 12th grade in science, his father wanted him to become an engineer, but Sakariya had different aspirations.
As the main breadwinner in his family, Sakariya supported them, as his father was a Tempo driver with health issues.
His family did not own a TV, so they watched Sakariya play at their neighbors' houses.
