Abhilash Thapliyal is an Indian radio jockey, actor, and TV host known for his work in Bollywood, such as playing Prashant in "Dil Juunglee" (2018).
He was born into a Pahadi family in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.
Abhilash was often introduced as funny and entertaining since childhood by his parents.
His father's career in the Indian Army led the family to live in cities like Delhi, Gwalior, Gurdaspur, and Jaipur.
Initially wanting to join the Army like his father, he pursued Radio and a Bachelor's in Journalism after being rejected by the NDA.
In 2006, while studying in Delhi, he began his radio career with a music show on All India Radio.
He later worked with Tarang FM 104 and Radio City 91.1, and hosted shows on Fever FM, Red FM, and Big FM 92.7.
Abhilash is known as the first RJ in India to perform live prank calls on celebrities like Irrfan Khan.
