  • In 2014, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar, Haryana, on a ticket of the Indian National Congress party. However, he lost the elections.
  • In 2022, he won the Adampur bypoll of Haryana assembly, which he contested on a ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by defeating Jai Parkash with a margin of 15,740 votes; the seat was left empty by his father, Kuldeep Bishnoi, after he resigned as an MLA from the Congress and switched to BJP.

Bhavya Bishnoi is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the youngest legislator in Haryana's Legislative Assembly, securing his seat in November 2022.
During his schooling, he excelled academically and served as the school president of the Shri Ram School, Gurugram.
Bhavya pursued his bachelor's degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he captained the LSE cricket team and achieved First Class Honours during his masters at Oxford University.
Coming from a politically active family, Bhavya's father, Kuldeep Bishnoi, and mother, Renuka Bishnoi, have been prominent political figures, as well as his late grandfather, Bhajan Lal Bishnoi.
Although previously engaged to Mehreen Pirzada, Bhavya and the actress decided to end their engagement in 2021.
He gained recognition as the first parliamentary candidate to focus his manifesto on his constituency's specific requirements.
In an interview, Bhavya expressed his transition from cricket to politics, highlighting his aspiration to make Hisar the capital of Haryana.
