Some Lesser Known Facts

Arunima Sinha is the first female amputee from the world to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
She was born as Sonu Sinha in a lower-middle-class Kayastha Family in Ambedkar Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh.
Since childhood, Arunima was involved in various sports activities in school, showing her athleticism.
She has also excelled as a National Volleyball Player.
In 2011, she survived a tragic incident where she was pushed off a moving train by criminals, resulting in the amputation of her leg.
Determined to achieve great things, Arunima decided to conquer Mount Everest after her recovery.
On May 21, 2013, she successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, making history as the first female amputee to do so.
Aside from Mount Everest, Arunima has conquered various other peaks and authored the book "Born Again on The Mountain."
She established the Arunima Foundation, which focuses on aiding women, disabled individuals, and uplifting underprivileged communities.
Recognized for her remarkable accomplishment, Arunima Sinha holds a Limca World Record.
