Muhammad Abbas moved to New Zealand from Pakistan at the age of 1 when his father joined Wellington’s Karori Cricket Club.
He comes from Roshanpur, a small village in Khanewal District, Pakistan.
Initially started with a tape ball before training at the Eden Roskill District Cricket Club.
At 11 years old, he scored a century for Western Districts in an Auckland tournament.
Played for King’s College XI for 4 years under Dipak Patel.
In December 2022, moved from Auckland to Wellington after his father was appointed as Wellington’s fast bowling coach.
