Allah Ghazanfar’s father initially did not support his cricket ambitions, hoping he would focus on studies. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began playing cricket with encouragement from his older brother.
He started as a fast bowler but was advised to switch to spin bowling by his coach, Roze Khan, resulting in a marked improvement in his skills.
His brother consistently helped him by purchasing 30 cricket balls monthly for practice.
He gained early experience with state under-16 teams, achieving notable success in the Shpageeza Cricket League.
He was part of the draft for the 2022-2023 Big Bash League but went unsold.
Despite being drafted for the 2023 IPL, he did not receive any bids from teams.
At the 2024 Under-19 World Cup, he had a successful tournament, securing 8 wickets with a solid average.
In March 2024, he signed with Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs as a replacement player.
Due to visa complications, he could not join Mumbai Indians despite their interest.
