At the age of 10, Sukant suffered a severe knee injury that led to permanent disability despite multiple surgeries.
He shifted focus to academics after the injury and avoided sports.
His passion for badminton ignited during college, inspired by Paralympian Girisha Nagarajegowda's performance at the 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Competing in the SL4 category due to one-sided mobility issues, he emphasizes mental training alongside physical practice.
Sukant faced significant health issues, including appendicitis diagnosed during a 2019 competition in Turkey, but initially avoided surgery.
