Some Lesser Known Facts

Triveni Singh was a lieutenant in the Indian Army and received the Ashok Chakra for thwarting a terrorist attack in 2004.
During his school days, he excelled in martial arts and won accolades in national competitions.
Instead of joining the Naval Academy, he pursued a degree in agriculture as per his parents' wishes.
After passing the Combined Defence Services Examination, he trained at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun.
In 2001, Triveni Singh joined the 5th Battalion of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry.
He attended the Young Officer’s course at the Infantry School of the Army War College.
Triveni completed training at the Junior Leaders Wing in Belgaum, Karnataka.
As an adjutant in Jammu, he led critical missions and operations.
In 2004, Triveni Singh bravely led a Quick Reaction Team to confront militants attacking the Jammu railway station.
Despite being injured, he eliminated the threat, stating "Mission Accomplished, Sir" before passing away.
A school was built in his honor by the Punjab administration.
A statue was erected at the Sunjuwan Military Station in Jammu in his memory.
Triveni Dwar was constructed in Pathankot, Punjab, in 2022 to honor him.
