Tristan Stubbs is a South African cricketer known for playing as a wicket-keeper-batter for the national team.
He developed a strong interest in sports during childhood, influenced by his athletically inclined father.
Diagnosed with Sever’s disease at a young age, Stubbs refrained from playing sports for nearly a year to allow for the condition to heal naturally.
He received cricket coaching from Robin Abbott at Knysna Sports School after his family relocated to Knysna from Johannesburg.
Starting his cricket journey at Grey High School in Port Elizabeth, he eventually became the captain of the school's 1st XI team.
Stubbs showcased his talent early on by scoring his first half-century for the South Western Districts Under-11 team.
