Tanveer Sangha is an Indian-Australian cricketer who gained attention in 2023 for being a potential player in Australia's ODI World Cup team.
His father relocated from India to Australia in 1997 on a student visa.
Encouraged by his father, Sangha initially explored various sports before focusing on cricket.
He started his cricket journey with the Liverpool Catholic Club and later played for other clubs like Ingleburn RSL Cricket Club and Campbelltown Camden District Cricket Club.
Initially a batsman and fast bowler, Sangha transitioned into a leg-spinner and eventually made it to the New South Wales Blues team at the age of eighteen.
His first-class debut was in 2021 for New South Wales, where he showcased his skills with both bat and ball.
In 2016, Sangha played for Australia Under-16 team and later progressed to the Under-19 team, where he excelled during the World Cup in South Africa.
Joining Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, Sangha emerged as a top wicket-taker in the 2020-21 season.
