  • While playing against Gujarat in October 2013, Mandhana became first Indian women cricketer to achieve a double ton in a One Day game. She had smashed 224 off just 150 balls in the West Zone under-19 tournament.
  • With 3 centuries in as many matches and a total of 192 runs in the Women's Challenger Trophy 2016, she stood as the highest run-scorer of the tournament.
Career Turning PointIn order to utilize her heroic batting style and huge numbers in the domestic cricket, the selectors named her to the international squad in April 2013.

Some Lesser Known Facts

She comes from a cricketing family, with her father and brother playing at district level.
Inspired by her brother playing at Maharashtra state Under-16 tournaments, she decided to pursue a cricketing career.
Even today, her brother Shravan bowls to her during practice sessions.
At just 9 years old, she was selected to play for Maharashtra’s Under-15 team at the district level.
She joined the Maharashtra Under-19 Cricket team at the age of 11 in 2007.
In September 2016, she became one of the first two Indians to join the Women’s Big Bash League when signed by Brisbane Heat.
She was honored with the Arjuna Award by the Government of India on 25 September 2018.
Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired her for Rs. 3.4 crore in the inaugural WPL auction in February 2023, the highest bid for a player in that event.
